Advertising Group to present “Social Media trends for marketing professionals” at monthly program

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Franny Knight will be the guest speaker at Tri-State Advertising & Marketing Professional’s meeting sponsored by University of Missouri Small Business Technology Development Center of Cape Girardeau County on Tuesday, April 22 at 11:30 am at Port Cape Girardeau in downtown Cape Girardeau.

The presentation, “Social Media trends for marketing professionals,” will demonstrate how cool Social Media Marketing is and how it is so different from traditional marketing. Attendees will learn how companies, entrepreneurs, and not for profit organizations are using the new media platforms with old traditional marketing techniques and messages.

Knight has been teaching Social Media Marketing, Strategies, and Policies across the country for the last five years to thousands of participants. She adds into these workshops her brand of creativity, creative marketing and generational knowledge to really make it valuable. Prior to Social Media Marketing, she conducted Creative Marketing & Branding, Creative Leadership, Creative Teams and Creative Training Programs for ten years. Knight has a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Wichita State University with a minor in Marketing.

Registration is required for the program. Cost is $12 for Tri-State AMP member, $15 for non-members and $10 for students. Registration is online at http://tristateamp.eventbrite.com.

A Social Media Workshop will also be held on the morning of April 22 at the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce training room from 8 to 11 am. The presentation will be geared towards small business owners and will include ways to incorporate social media into the business.

Registration is required for both the afternoon luncheon and morning workshop. The cost for the luncheon is: $12 for Tri-State AMP members, $15 for non-members, and $10 for students. The cost for the workshop, which includes a light breakfast and snacks, is: $35 for Tri State AMP members, $50 for non-members, and $10 for students. Tri-State AMP members can attend both the luncheon and workshop for a discounted rate of $30 and non-members can do the same for $60.

The club regularly meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am. Lunch for members is $12 ($10 for students) and $15 for non-members, with one free lunch for guests. The club also sponsors occasional after-work events including the annual ADDY Awards. Advance registration is required for all events.
