Seeking Nominations for Silver Medal

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Tri-State Advertising & Marketing Professionals (AMP) is seeking nominations for its annual American Advertising Federation (AAF) Silver Medal award. The award, which honors an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the advertising and marketing professions, as well as his or her local community, will be announced at the organization’s annual ADDY awards banquet on February 24. Nominations must be received by Friday, February 3.

The AAF’s Silver Medal Award Program was established in 1959 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.

Former State Senator to Speak at Communications Lunch

Tri-State AMP will welcome former Missouri Senator John Loudon as its guest speaker on Tuesday, January 24, during its monthly luncheon. The luncheon will take place at Port Cape Girardeau from 11:30 am to 1 pm and is open to the public. Tickets are required and may be purchased here.

Loudon currently works in Birmingham, Ala., as central director of business development for GoVote.com, the biggest political website in the world. He is also a principal at Legacy Group, Inc., a strategic marketing and communications firm based in St. Louis. Prior to these roles, Loudon was the youngest member to serve in the Missouri State Senate, where he developed a reputation for creative thinking and problem solving. During his tenure, Loudon is credited for the rewrite and overhaul of Missouri’s workers compensation law and the landmark parental consent law. Tri-State AMP Issues Call for Entries for ADDY Awards

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Tri-State Advertising & Marketing Professionals (AMP) has issued its Call for Entries for the 2011-2012 local ADDY® Awards Competition.

Tri-State AMP’s ADDY Awards Competition recognizes exceptional advertising created in the Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Paducah, Ky.; and Harrisburg, Ill., markets. The ADDY Awards honor advertising excellence in all media including print, broadcast, out-of-home and public service advertising.

All entries must be received by 4 p.m. on January 12 at Concord Printing, 301 Broadway in Cape Girardeau. Entry fees are $48 for members of Tri-State AMP, $58 for nonmembers and $32 for students[...]
