Capitol Hill is searching for more revenue, and some want to upend the advertising tax deduction. That’s basically a tax on ad budgets, and businesses will either pay more to the government or advertise less.
Congress is currently discussing tax reform proposals. Thanks to your engagement, the House and Senate proposals do not currently include changes to the advertising tax deduction, but there’s a long way to go in the legislative process.
If changes to the ad tax deduction are included at any point, this could have significant implications for your bottom line.
The time to act is now! Please use the tool on this page to contact your members of Congress. Thank them for standing up for broadcasters and small businesses and opposing an ad tax.
Many of your advertising partners and clients may be unaware that this tax change is under consideration. Urge them to join Businesses Against the Ad Tax to stay informed. The more people we have, the louder our voice will be to steer Congress in another direction.
