Former State Senator to Speak at Communications Lunch

11 Jan

Tri-State AMP will welcome former Missouri Senator John Loudon as its guest speaker on Tuesday, January 24, during its monthly luncheon. The luncheon will take place at Port Cape Girardeau from 11:30 am to 1 pm and is open to the public. Tickets are required and may be purchased here.

Loudon currently works in Birmingham, Ala., as central director of business development for GoVote.com, the biggest political website in the world. He is also a principal at Legacy Group, Inc., a strategic marketing and communications firm based in St. Louis. Prior to these roles, Loudon was the youngest member to serve in the Missouri State Senate, where he developed a reputation for creative thinking and problem solving. During his tenure, Loudon is credited for the rewrite and overhaul of Missouri’s workers compensation law and the landmark parental consent law. Currently, Missouri is the only state to extend this protection.

“Tri-State AMP is delighted to welcome such a distinguished speaker to our monthly luncheon,” says Emily Sikes, Tri-State AMP president. “Our membership consists of local communications professionals, as well as college students, who want to advance their skills and knowledge through our networking meetings and speakers such as Mr. Loudon allow them to hear timely, informative topics without traveling out of the area.”

The monthly luncheons are held the fourth Tuesday of each month from 11:30 am to 1 pm at Port Cape Girardeau, 19 North Water Street in Cape Girardeau. The cost is $12 for members, $15 for non-members and $10 for students. Luncheon tickets are required and may be purchased here. For more information, please email Tri-State AMP.
